Brilliant from start to finish
I cannot recommend The Compliant Guys highly enough. They provided outstanding support throughout my FCA application process and played a huge part in helping me achieve my authorisation first time. A special mention has to go to Jade, who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She conducted two mock interviews with me, which were invaluable in preparing me for the real FCA interview. Her knowledge, guidance and attention to detail helped me understand exactly what was expected, gave me confidence, and ensured I was fully prepared. The entire process felt much less daunting with their support. They were professional, responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. Thanks to their expertise and preparation, I passed first time and now have my FCA licence. I have to say i couldnt have got a…
I have to say i couldnt have got a better person to prep me for my FCA application. Aneka was so understanding that it was all New to me and she took her time to explain everything to me, she worked around my time sheet nothing was to much hassle for her. Aneka it was great meeting you on Teams meetings i enjoyed the bit of banter and thanks for all you done for me getting me through the interview Sean

Do you have to be authorised by the FCA to offer finance?
In almost all cases, yes. The most common exclusions are if you are offering less than 12 payments over less than 12 months and charge no interest, or if you are only selling to limited companies. You can contact us for a no obligation chat about what permission you need and what it would cost.
How long will it take for my licence to be authorised?
The FCA state that for a standard Limited Permission application it can take up to six months once they deem it complete, and up to 12 months in total. Our current processing time is an average well within six months, but this is influenced by the accuracy of the information you provide to us, how well you engage in the process and how straightforward your case is for the FCA to assess.
Can you guarantee I will get accepted by the FCA?
Before we take on any client, we discuss your eligibility and satisfy ourselves that you qualify for authorisation. It is however the FCA's decision to approve you or not, and so if you omit to notify us of any information that could harm your application we cannot be liable for that. We often advise potential clients not to proceed as our expert experience knows they would be rejected - we'd rather you keep your money and be honest.
When my licence is approved, how long before I can start to facilitate finance?
Immediately, though it may take around 24 hours to show on the FCA Register.
Once I'm authorised, who do I use to offer finance on my goods?
You are free to use whoever you wish, but at The Compliance Guys Ltd we have established, unburdened relationships with Lenders and Brokers who are specialists in the sector you are working in, and we will gladly put you in contact with these. Not only that, but while you're waiting for authorisation you get FREE access to our compliance CRM and use of our DRIVE app!
Can FCA authorisation expire?
Your FCA authorisation can't expire, but it can be revoked. If you fail to pay your ongoing fees and file your reports then this will happen - but hey, that's why you'll get us to do it for you.
